I’m not a morning person.
I’m not a night-owl either.
I’m actually BOTH!
I love the energy of the late night quiet hours where everything around me starts to quiet down and my body is ready to rest.
I love that dark, mysterious element of the night time witching hour where I feel connected to my dreams and to my inner world. I love standing in the moonlight and the starlight to feel the immense power of my ancestors.
I also adore the early morning energy of renewal and opportunity of a new day.
I love the early song-birds and the smells of the earth as it awakens to the morning chill.
I love both.
I have rituals for my night time hours that help me to tap into that mysterious magic of the darkness. And I have rituals for my Magic Mornings where I ignite my inner pilot light with movement, set my intention for the day to come with my morning Self-Care pages and connect with divine guidance.
Even when I’m traveling with my family, I love waking up early while everyone is still sleeping, make myself a big mug of lemon water, find a quiet spot outside, listen to bird-song and take in the sunshine. I write in my Magic Morning journal, do some simple stretching and movement and maybe even go for a long walk. I simply enjoy nature and take the time to get present and connect to divine.
Taking this daily pause to listen in the morning allows me to be more present, more playful, more intuitive, more giving to others
What about when things are really BUSY?
Here are 6 simple ways you can up-level your Self-Care when your schedule feels a bit more overwhelming.
1 – Get to bed an hour early
2 – Get up a bit earlier to dive deeper into your Magic Morning Self-Care rituals
3 – Drink lots of water to keep my energy flowing
4 – Cut back on caffeine and all sugar to get my body ready to lead, guide and channel the grace and insights so you can be the leader you were born to be
5 – Say NO to anything that is not aligned with creating Sacred Space to prepare. (This is CRUCIAL)
6 – Re-state your intention each morning to stay present, stay focused and take listen to your body
